The DXY appears to like the German poor PMI while the EU, GU etc not so much!

GBP/USD... probably the best price you'll get to short from.
EUR/USD 1.08875 will be the high and the only way seems to be down from here onwards. Price exactly hit the Resistance

There is never a thing as "I MISSED OUT" There is always opertuinitys just wait for the correct set up.

Raised my SL to 1.26 77 --- I will wait for one more push up. I am aiming at 1.27 20... IF seen , fine.

I believe target will be achieved by 4:30 EST. = Brit. news release.

Hi, Oh dear your conflation of events leads, I think, to your skewed analysis. These are the facts, hopefully for the last time of telling, although I suspect that someone who displays an almost pathological need to be right, as evidenced by your postings, won't accept them.

1. On Thurs Sept 22nd BOJ intervened directly in the currency markets to bring down it's rate of exchange with the $. It did so blind, and it's effects were not that long-lasting. It did not intervene to help Truss/Kwarteng, the £ or Uk. Japan is not as bothered with its rate of exchange with Uk, ie Gbpjpy, because by comparison it does far less trade with Uk. It therefore did not intervene to '...save Truss's ass...'

2. On Tues 27th Sept the Uk 30yr Gilt (Govt bond) went from circa 3% to over 5%. This caused a crisis in the Uk pension industry, and on Weds 28th Sept, the Boe intervened in the Gilt market by buying gilts to stablize it. It was to be it's only intervention in any market during this time, beyond it's normal operations.

3. Even as £ was plunging to it's 1.0327 lo not even the Boe intervened in the currency market, let alone your assertion that the Fed and the BOJ did. If you have empirical proof to the contrary please post it. What, in your language 'saved' the £ was this intervention (in the Gilt market,) and, crucially, the new measures that the new Chancellor Hunt did to stabilize the economy and £ crosses after the Truss/Kwarteng fiasco. Ie the market as a whole recognized that the record 1.0327 gbpusd lo (for eg,) was a heavily discounted buy signal as this intervention in the Gilt market, and the new post-Truss/Kwarteng fundamentals became known. This is what led to a sustained rise in the £, (otherwise the bounce @ 1.0327 could have been a 'dead-cat bounce,?') and other $ crosses. Anyone that bought the £ from those lo's did so out of self-interest, calculating that there was value in doing so, and so far they have been proven right. It was the market, that again in your (wrong language) 'saved' the £ from reaching $ parity, not the Fed, not the BOJ, not even the Boe - the market!

Your postings are at best entertaining, but your 'analysis' of events, probably not helped by your colorful and disparaging language, (not to mention the way you put words in my mouth,) does not bear out the facts.

,maybe, the only good thing you can grab out of that feeling is try to understand where you could have bought and why. Save it on a folder as a buy setup history. And so eventually next time similar setup comes out you will be prepared to consider the buy.

that applies also to the sell of course.

i had a buy setup on cable 2580 but I did not consider it. I exactly know the reason. Revealed as a mistake. Happens.

but keep in mind your protective stop is inside a big selling zone. so technically it could be better to place it above.

but i think that you have calculated your maximum loss there in terms of price and that has nothing to do with the chart technique;-)

PMI france was better than expected and led to a gap up.

PMI germany was worse than expected and led to a gap down.

now PMI great britain in 40 minutes...

...price @ the currrent dly hi reached 61.8% of the 2828-2519 move, and 104% of 30day adr, (79% of 13wk [1/4 yr] awr,] is beyond Dly R3, and above the Mthly Pivot ....Just above it is the 76.4% of the 2772-2519 move @ 2712.

It'll be quite sobering for me if data comes out good for GBP...uff...

I'll put SL near entry if price falls a little bit further down, so I'm protected if the data comes out better than expected.

I also have this feeling.
not back below 50 maybe but I feel they will come out worse than expectations.
will be ready to cut my short in case price will keep rising.
