Symmetrical triangle formation with incoming ABC set up for FOMC

Maybe it is good to sell USD.

Still can’t crack past the area from last week/2 weeks ago 12630-40. Grrrrr since FOMC BoE and NFP it’s been like driving behind a learner on the autobahn

I understand you've marked Daily FVG on possibility of target zone.
The FVG for that has been filled and it has displacement 13th Feb, thus the market structure structure has been shifting.

The current down move now is to fill up the FVG created by the above candle (13th Feb)
Once it shift, it create nee ERL (external LQ)
Thus, price will "play with internal LQ first before taking out External LQ.

Good example for similar moves can be found on 3rd Jn, 2024.

Trade idea was observing the n00b M break down, which once upon a time I would have traded short in earnest, but these days tend more to see where my SL once would have been, as a target. Anyhow...aiming for 2:1. Got 1.5, and then market comes right back down almost to entry point. Had I just taken the 1.5:1, I would be in and out and profitable, and then re-hit the same trade idea if I wanted...if it sets up. Instead, I have given back 75% of my unrealised gains, and am sitting with my fingers crossed quite frankly, with a SL with not a whole lot of clearance for the statutory market dickfuckerry.

Edit: Granted, I do tend to give my SL a bit of headroom and could have tightened it up to just behind the pivot low at 1.26, but what reason did the market give me to assume that the bottom was in? ( no reason at all, except that the n00b 61.8% retrace into Bear M traders can't be allowed to hit a 2:1 win)

Possible for that as I believe the spike down is just to fill up the LQ sweep before pursing and continue going up

bit messed up lot of things

the blue-shadowed candlestick chart is USD which is (atm hardly) bottoming into a support.
anyway, alreay into pretty heavy size (5lots) but looking to increase more.

the plan is:
if b/o h1 150-20/30 area will go almost straight to the black thing which is a diagonal I put just to remember that somewhere there is a triangle.

once broken the orange square, it's all the way up to previous peak

area to care about is 150.80/90 and 151.20/30
then is my target 151.60 will reduce it to 151.15 if able to increase size

I am not considering the short trade.
not yet.

maybe tomorrow if fomc and jpy data sends it back to brake the bullish structure, but atm looks like big hands are pushing it on every support.

Came around to post my trade but in the meantime I read some prev. posts and replied about UJ, the cable already tanked.
Been shorting this thing the whole today
2629 + 2626 in the morning cashed for some 20pis
and now the 2624 will hold to see if breakes down.

Overall I believe price will be able to get up and reach major resistance into 1.27 or even higher
but first.... this setup has to be completed
reminds me the same setup when price was into 1.26/1.27 range..
