Hi. The market is always right. The only clowns are those that think it is not, and that they are. What will happen even on the next tick - none of us know with any certainty, let alone across the time horizon you have been talking about in here recently or indeed, expressing in your post re your 'certainty' that the gbpusd bears will step back in circa 2690 to 'smash it back down to 2610 and below. I had assumed you were adopting that longer-term $ bullish view from a fundie/global macro analysis/point of view, because as you know(?) - tech analysis is not predictive, so I was interested to read the signature @ bottom of your posts that it is tech analysis on those longer t/f's that inform/lead your trades/trading decisions. Anyways, good luck with your analysis/trades.

The big news events create big slippage.
Be careful guys.
Stop loss and TP will not be respected.
Being flat before news event helps to protect account

Yap its true GBPUSD IS NOT EXCEEDING Price 1.26897 uptrend move and its already reversing to prepare for USD-High impact News with NY mkt open 4pm...we expect to see reversal in downtrend to the baseline in zones of price 1.26082 below and NY mkt must end the day in downtrend in zones of price 1.26082..tomorrow the mkt will pick it from this zone to take on uptrend move again ..the maintrend with GBP-High Impact News again from 10:00am. Happy trading.

Try changing the price point. I suggest using the Heiken Ashi better formula trend based price.
I also shortened the MA periods.

reason is simple
if I’m right, the position will go to my target.
If I’m right but market swipes, I can eventually reload the position in better price
if I’m wrong, and market turns counter me, my equity is protected.

now, for example, I still have a position in usd joy where the stop is be+10
here the reason is even more clear
if I’m right, after the us cpi price will be straight into 150 area
if I’m wrong, price will certainly go lower than my entry so no reasons to hold it

I tend to have what I call 'blocking sells' or hedging my trades, it's what I've done for sometime now and probably won't go back to Stop Losses. Hate being stop hunted
Not that having SLs is a bad thing at all and it's what you feel comfortable with.
The two trades in the upload were a case of holding my nerve in Euro session/LO where I wasn't certain it was going higher. Everything said it was but always expect something else.
So Euro was heading higher and dxy lower so no brainer really except euro/gbp was getting hammered at the same time
With the sell stops I move those around depending on what the marget is doing
