Ok, yes Forex can be gambling, depending on your trading system. But let's say, all your money is returned to your investors, and you're even. I've been there. I had to pay my original investors back too, with my taxi savings. I realized it's easier and less stressful to trade without investors on my back.
Now, you can start small with demo or like $100 with your own money, and follow my leveling system. If you reach +100%, then you can invest more like up to $200. Trade another +100%, then invest up to $800. And so on, until you can't keep up with investing proportionately. Then start withdrawing up to 50% of the profit after you reach another +100% ROI. And so on with every new level you achieve. Keep trading with the same amount of risk compared to the account balance/lot size as long your mental/emotional stress is not affected by the higher $$ amounts. Learn to trick your brain into thinking it's just a game. What's left in your account after withdrawal is free money. I started with nothing, so it wouldn't hurt if I happened to lose it all because I never had it in the first place.
This way, if you can withdraw some of your profits proportionately along the way, you get to enjoy your profits in real time for real life all the while growing your trading account to the moon.
Every time, your paycheck will be bigger.
The reason this leveling system works is because you will discipline yourself in your investing, so that you will not invest/risk more money unless your trading is successful and you can upgrade to a new level. And once you cannot continue investing proportionately, then it's wise to withdraw 30-50% of your profits as real life income so you don't stress out over the risk of losing your huge account balance. If you start stressing out because you're trading like $10,000 - $100,000, which is way more than you can make in a month, then cancel everything. Withdraw everything. Start over with demo or maybe $1,000 instead of $100. Allow your brain to recuperate by trading demo or small $$ amounts for a while then try again working up those levels to potentially a higher level than before because you will now be able to handle more mentally. Taking a vacation is good for us this way. We all need a break sometimes. I hope you get to come back and try again sometime.

When I get to 10k a month trading I won't be doing my day job

Overheads will be so low that 120k a year be like 160k a year having to run a business as a sole trader....

That's why I don't have a fixed % goal for a day, week, or month, or whatever.
My goal is to see if I can reach +100% on my current level, however long it takes, and only then, after achieving that goal, either invest more money, or withdraw some of the profit, depending on the current level according to my system.
My current average of +3.32% ROI per day is far more than I expected to achieve by this time. For me, a more reasonable expectation is 1.00 - 1.50% ROI per day. It's just an expectation, not a requirement. That's a very easy ROI to maintain daily without much effort. I don't focus on daily ROI at all. I keep my focus on balancing my scalping/hedging system the way I do it best. And let the profit chips fall where they may.
Be it -20%, +.01% or +20%.
At the end of the day or week, it is what it is, and we start over and repeat the cycle again and again. It becomes a habitual way of trading. $$ amounts and even daily ROI doesn't even cross my mind while in the process of trading. Just make progress the best you can. Keep moving forward, fast or slow. It's all the same.
At the end of the trading session, day, or week, after all trading is done, then I look back and see what I have accomplished.

The fixed % is set for calculation purpose and to aim for that %.

It makes me comfortable once 4 % target is hit.

I quit mt4 or reduce the trade size once 4 % target is hit on a particular day

The psycological effect will come once the growth is exponential.

But, let me tell you, I have seen such profits while trading challenge account.

Made even 8000 $ in a day and straight away passed phase 1 in one day.

So, I hope I will not get into phsycological issues when account grows.

I have a plan as I said to mitigate.

Once in a month, i plan to withdraw excess profits and put it in mt4 account number # 2, 3, 4 , 5 and so on.

So that trading in a high value account is avoided.

Having said, I accomplished the 4 % target since January, except 4 to 5 days. Those days, I booked loss.

Very good plan. Whatever works for you.
If one can recognize his weakness and be prepared to deal with it, then he is more likely to succeed.
Negative psychological issues/reactions during the process of high risk / high reward trading is very real, as I have also seen for myself. So, the next process for me is to learn how to navigate the emotional highs and lows without crashing, and mitigate the negative stressful effects of it, so my trading progress remains unimpeded. Ultimately, psychological stability becomes more important than your initial trading skill because it can be the biggest factor that determines whether you can continue trading successfully or not.

the thing is about the social phenomenon where people tend to become somehow different and behave “behind a monitor” as a different person as they are in life,
this is true , however, also on the other side!
we certainly perceive people differently behind a social profile, than what they are in real life, and this would be based on our personal way to read and listen to things in that particular moment of the day, week, life.

looks to me, we are getting used more and more to this social network “front page”, and we are somehow forgetting what is the true interconnection between people. This is good form certain point of view, and bad in the same time
