I'm sorry. Didn't mean to come across as cocky. I just don't like seeing other people lose when I'm winning. It feels unfair and makes me feel guilty for taking their money.
It's just that when price action seems to always (most times) go exactly as I saw it coming, then I see other people looking at it the opposite way and trading it backwards, it can get into my head. Yes, I gotta watch out that I don't get overconfident and always be aware of the possibility that I'm not seeing the whole true picture.
I discovered when I have positions in drawdown in both directions (hedging), it keeps me on my toes and engaged with the price action to ensure that my net equity keeps progressing. That's when I can feel the pull more accurately, as in, which direction has the greater strength and the better potential to win in the end. Just like a tug of war between a group of people. At some point you just know who is on the winning side, and when the pivot of momentum changes, like when one side gets weaker and the other side gets stronger and starts making progress.
Every day is different. The past does not determine the future. For me, it's all about recognizing which side has the advantage in the moment (if any). If there is no clear advantage, then it's sideways trading (scalping heaven).
But for today, I can clearly see and feel that bulls are stronger. It became obvious to me this morning when I woke up before NY session open. The signs of that bull strength started showing up yesterday. This morning was further confirmation.

All long positions closed now at EUR/USD 1.088. 5 shorts (2 new and 3 old underwater).
I expect some retrace to 1.085 area until FOMC. Then probably reload longs, preferably equal hedge since you never really know.

Hence I like trading on the fly, moving with the waves. Opening and closing trades when momentum changes. It's so satisfying when you get good at it. Like surfing .
Even though I have never surfed in real life. Just watching them surfing off the beach on videos, I can see why it's so addictive and satisfying.
