Disliked{quote} G'day mate, How's it going this arvo? I reckon it'd be tops if you could chuck in a bit of a hand to share some knowledge. You know I'm always keen for a yarn and swapping info with fellow traders in the thick of "real-time" trading. Cheers for keeping it coming, mate. I'm gonna grab me Ciggy. Thanks again, legend!Ignored
Disliked{quote} DXY feat GBP I believe I came across some insights by dantpm regarding the movement of the DXY. He emphasized that at times, the GBP has its own factors influencing its movement, rather than simply mirroring the DXY inversion. BTW, I believe relationship between the GBP and the DXY is not always inverse, and their movements can be influenced by a variety of factors. While there is a general tendency for major currency pairs, including GBP/USD, to exhibit an inverse relationship with the DXY,...Ignored
Disliked{quote} hmm can’t help but to be curious why does gu drop hard when dollar index is flying. But doesn’t fly when dollar index dropsIgnored
Disliked{quote} You are correct Pat, GBP is more independent compared to EUR. Last few hours I saw GBP dropped but DXY didn’t skyrocket. This is I prefer trade on GU rather EU due to its less inverted correlation to DXY.Ignored

Dislikedjust thinking out loud, EG seems to be at 4hr downtrend resistance. if it turns around will GU goes up?Ignored
Disliked{quote} I'll answer that if okay because you asked Pat ?? It happens when Euro is stronger than Cable money flows into Euro/Gbp instead of into Cable so Euro can be pumping and Cable could be stationary or falling. When US dollar is falling and Cable as strong as Euro money flows into GU at the same time and both will pump Got to say I can't stand EG, I call it the blood sucking freak lolIgnored
Disliked{quote} When Britain was part of the EU at the end of every month money would flow out of Britain into the coffers of the EU, not sure if this happens now and todays money flows could be just a coincidence. Or maybe Britain is still required to send money EG has come of it's highs but so has EU, if EG falls faster then GU will benefit with a rise in price. These are events I have seen happening to GU price and I might not be right, there could be more to itIgnored
Disliked{quote} Forex isn't about money flows, it is about price. 'We' have a limited idea about money flows since this information is not accurately reported and not required to be reported (each transaction does not always have 'volume' or total value). The market has the data and there are several sources that make some of the information available to the public for free and for various fees. The rest of your explanation makes sense. There are other scenarios as well, it is simply a function of how price is behaving.Ignored
Disliked{quote} You can see at the moment EG is rising so money flowing into it instead of GU, as soon as EG backs off GU will bounceIgnored
