GU basically not moving when dollar index is dropping
Pray hard for dollar index to break down from the 4hr upwards trend

12704-12710 (overshoot) target before data in less than 5 hours for me.

Yeap , it is only
12% of GBP compares
58% of euro and
14% Yen.

small correlated, but good enough to gauge USD strength against GBP.

hmm can’t help but to be curious why does gu drop hard when dollar index is flying. But doesn’t fly when dollar index drops

I'll answer that if okay because you asked Pat ??

It happens when Euro is stronger than Cable money flows into Euro/Gbp instead of into Cable so Euro can be pumping and Cable could be stationary or falling.
When US dollar is falling and Cable as strong as Euro money flows into GU at the same time and both will pump


Got to say I can't stand EG, I call it the blood sucking freak lol

26800 seems it’s doesn’t want to break. Cus it’s been rejecting price from going higher.

That's my opinion on why GU doesn't pump if Dollar index is falling.

DXY feat GBP

I believe I came across some insights by dantpm regarding the movement of the DXY.
He emphasized that at times, the GBP has its own factors influencing its movement, rather than simply mirroring the DXY inversion.

BTW, I believe relationship between the GBP and the DXY is not always inverse, and their movements can be influenced by a variety of factors.
While there is a general tendency for major currency pairs, including GBP/USD, to exhibit an inverse relationship with the DXY, it is not a strict rule.

GBP can be influenced by its own economic indicators, such as employment data, inflation rates, and BoE decisions.
Additionally, political developments, trade relations, and global economic conditions can impact the movement of the GBP.

Since it repressent only 12% in DXY, the degree to which the DXY influences the GBP can vary based on the prevailing market conditions and insignificant.

And now when dollar index increase 10pips Gu drop 6 pips =)
