I have a problem with revenge trading. I have no idea how to deal with it. When I demo or back test, it all works out really well for me.

My biggest regret in life was getting involved with this and I know I'll never be able to make back my £22,000 in losses. On the flip side, going to work every day is making me want to end it and I can't see any other way than trying to get this to work.

I just look at a move like this and think "Is it really likely to continue up without coming down first?" I'm just looking to capture 10-15 pips. It is no up 120 pips from the swing low in a 2 month range. Maybe it will continue up, but it that more or less likely than a pull back? We are at roughly 4 hour resistance after a 120 pip move. is it likely that a chunk of those buyers are going to take profits around here or is it more likely that they will hold or add to the position?

Price will always potentially end up surprising and stretching out in one direction without a retrace far longer than ever thought possible. (Think black swan)
That's why risk / money management is key. Once you have that figured out, then you can work on figuring out what price will do. Without that risk management, you will ultimately fail, almost guaranteed.
You cannot fail if you never give up.

What we see currently is typical PA for EU-Session. Long run, no retrace, no other big players. Only few bank make market. No one cares. Kartell Abuse? Doesn't matter. EU is a joke. But that's also nothing new. (I say EU because the prices are currently made by big banks in EU-Session and probably from EU-Ground).

I know what a trend is. The trend has nothing to do with you overleveraging all the time especially during news. You should avoid news at all cost until you get your gambling under control. That is what it is.

We currently see, as usual, the distribution of the longs to the market, using time technique of big boys (which we are not able to use). They sell to currency converters and Central banks. That's how they make their money in that moment.

Hi. Thanks for the reply. I don't have an opinion on where price may go next, I am a clueless feckwit in this respect (like the rest of us,) and just accept and am comfortable with the fact that I don't know and what's more I don't have to know to make money, (none of us do.) I just a play an edge when it sets up in whatever price action/trend/range it does and the rest is up to the market. We as humans like to compensate for uncertainty by trying to manufacture it where it does not exist, like predictions etc. Some never get comfortable with the fact that they can't know what will happen next beyond (sometimes) a greater probability, and fail to understand that they don't have to.

As mentioned m8 employ strict money management and if your losing more than you win your just not employing strict money management.
22 grand is a small amount in forex trading terms and can easily be recouped plus some more to make up for inflation and if you start winning you feel much better about things in general.
There are traders who lose 300k plus and then go on to become the best traders out there but it doesn't mean you have to lose that sort of cash to learn. What you need(and we all need it besides Paige Spiranac ) is 'Strict Money Management' Until you learn that lesson you'll continue to bleed money, feel like shit and think it's some other issue....
