Well I'm giving up before I blow my 3rd account of the year by the end of the 2nd day of the year. I should never have restarted this.

I used to struggle with this a lot but now im better off. Id say the risk taken plays a really big part with this. If you risk a lot, you will feel a need to recover which can do a lot of damage. I have lost many accounts with this. Now, thats not a problem for me because my losses are so small. Try reducing your exposure

you probably are overleveraged.
do some calculations.
on a 1000$ account, a trade with a 30$ sl is already medium/large size.
would be fine a 10$ sl x stop loss, and eventually 20 to 30 tp.

losing more than that, means you oversize positions.

overleverage causes stress, frustration
excatly what you don’t need in trading.

you need to focus on what you need to do: buy or sell.
once you find your strategy you will increase account equity.
until that moment, a 1% x trade allowed SL

find the reason you’re doing this activity!!!

-traders do it for the money
-smart ppl do it for the fun, like a netflix subscription, etc
-some may not know and will have wrong expectations

there is a learning path, failure is part of it, the more you loose the lore immune your are, some may say…

just some thought, far for looking to offend someone, and if just did, I am sorry for that, not my intention

that is the point.

price goes up/down between levels where there are buyers/sellers.
you cannot just sell because its going down.
You have to sell because its a good price for that.

its supply / demand basically rules.

would you buy a 300k km used car for 20k $? Or would it be better wait for the owner to discount the price @2k $?
how much would you pay for a glass of water if you were in Sahara desert and out of water?

market price is the same.
would you buy @1.26 in the hope to see it flying back to 1.28 or would it be better to sell it as closed as possible at 2640 where already market proven today many others decided it’s a good price to sell it?

its a matter of study, analysis, understanding, calculations, recognition of main picture.
being profitable trading could require even many years.

Like I've said previously, I can't tell the difference between a pullback or a reversal. Even if it's in one of my S&R zones...Lets say price is in a support zone that I have marked up from the 4 hour chart, lookng for an entry on the 15 or 5 minute. Price starts to go up with a couple of HH's and LL's. It then falls down and creates a new low. My mind will be "Thats a stop hunt". And so I buy all the way down because it's a stop hunt.

Think I might just stick to physical gold and junior mining stocks and wait for the collapse of the Western financial system later this year.

I am a swing trader. Most of my trades last a day or two. Yesterdays trade set up nicely on DEC 29th. Im still short but I think that the pivot point could act as a reversal. In the meantime, my set up is still short
first tp is S1 today
