G/M, a bullish piercing pattern dly candle y/day (after the day before's bearish engulfing,!) and an upside follow-thru of it so far today above the Asian hi for a 1s upside break of it as Uk retail sales data surprises to the upside.

...bulls currently struggling to get north of the prev 30min minor sw hi zone (see 1hr chart above) that has developed extending to current dly hi, = prev res = pot res, this the bottom of a prev 4hr v.minor sw lo zone = prev supp = pot sbr. Some tests of it visible on the lower t/f's. Still rangy on 4hr, 1hr messy too, but a present bulish tone. Intraday bullish so far too overall. Very 'W' ish on 4hr!

127 needs to crack for a break out towards the weekly high else there is a drop on the scenario especially being a Friday

The YEN pullback is done. It's a proper time to sell xxx/JPY pairs , the entire market will be trending on US session despite some counter moves on the news (USD pairs).In my view xxxUSD up, GOLD up,NASDAQ up,CRUDE up, USDxxx + xxxJPY heavy red day.Just because next week will be a slow one and everybody wants to exit positions this week....GBPJPY is the best short right now @180.52

the USD has been strong for a bit long and I think you are right the cycle of a weaker dollar is due. Today the data showed the UK is on brink of a recession which should have dropped the GU pair to below 126 as this not good for the pound however we are still teetering around the 127 area. Maybe the data later will help decide the PA for the year end period.

...a dip down to that previous 1hr 'chop,' ie the small pip range consolidation either side of the Asian hi, - so 1st upside break of Asian hi was false, now a 2nd - and strong bounce back up so far, now challenging that prev 30min sw hi zone that extends to current dly hi again.
