This may be all the down movement we have. We had an ABC off that previous high. Tiny, and unconvincing, yet there.

If this is to satisfy the need for consolidation, then we are possibly currently in a wave 3 to the upside. This will be confirmed if we retest 16670 as we just broke out of the lower area of balance.

All day the profit chased me and somehow I run away from it … still a decent day.
I’ll have to stay away in the next hours, crazy spreads at midnight … market is sleepy.

...back @ desk updating charts so less to do in the morning. I see further downside occured, - so the 1hr bearish hidden div played out to achieve a new 1hr downtrend lo @ Dly S1 (NavK,!) - the top of the 4hr sw lo part of a prev 1hr/4hr sw hi/lo zone that has again acted as rbs @ current dly lo. On 4hr now we have a 2nd LH and what, when it will forms fractally will be a LL. There is still a repeating pattern of 2hr bullish hidden div @ current dly lo and as explained over the w/e - this can be measured from either 2612 or 2500. @ the current dly lo it comes @ what will be a 4th LL on that t/f when it forms fractally there or lower and so is very sub-optimal in terms of any uptrend on that 2hr t/f to time such a pullback hidden div entry into the market via a 30min set-up for eg. This is not to say such a scenario might not play out - just much less than 50% probability over a large multi-year sample on this pairing and t/f. This said the above-mentioned prev 1hr/4hr sw hi then lo zone has seen a lot of activity and if tested deeper into it may still hold some orders? Amongst more, 50% of last week's lo-hi is in there @ 2621.
Looking likely right now at least that a 2nd consec bearish dly candle might print?

Also below per the graphic, the downside fibs down to 2415, (the notation just refers to which t/f chart I have them on.)

The US Dollar (USD) is getting stronger against the Japanese Yen (JPY) for two main reasons:

GBP is feeling the heat. It's down, down, down against the USD, trading around 1.26 after losing 0.3%.
Why so glum, Pound?

US Debt on the Rise: Borrowing in the US is getting more expensive, making the USD more attractive to investors.

Fed Mixed Messages: Last week, the US Federal Reserve hinted at slowing down their rate hikes, which helped the Pound.
But now, some Fed officials are saying "Whoa, not so fast!"
This confusion makes investors nervous about the Pound.

UK Inflation Checkup: Wednesday is a big day for the UK.
They're releasing inflation data, and if it's high, it could be bad news for the Pound.
Remember, high inflation means people have less money to spend, and that hurts businesses and the economy.

Howwever, there are some reasons to be optimistic:
USD Slowdown: The USD isn't exactly on fire either. If it weakens a bit, the Pound could bounce back.
Maybe No Recession: So far, the UK has avoided a recession, which is good news for the Pound.
But we'll have to wait until Thursday's data to see if things are really okay.

So, what's next?
Wednesday's inflation data is the key.
If it's low, the Pound could rally.
If it's high, things could get worse.
Thursday's growth data will also be important.

And of course, we'll need to keep an eye on what the Fed and the Bank of England say next.
It's a bumpy ride for the Pound right now, but buckle up - things could get exciting!
