Disliked{quote} Hi, the truth is, as we've all commented on many times, that none of us know what will happen to price between now and year-end, (or any other time for that matter.) Even the fundie traders are playing an edge/their own analysis of the prevailing fundie/global macro environment - and generally far longer term than tech and/or retail traders. As tech traders, if we have an edge, we just play that and don't have to know the 'why,' interesting though it may be. Everything that is currently known that may affect price is discounted into price...Ignored
On this subject, just a quick funny - If ever I am asked what I do I try the professional hitman/decoy answer but if that is not believed I reluctantly have to admit to the less respectable answer of a forex trader. I generally get the usual 'what' reply and upon explaining it, the response usually comes something along the lines of '..oh ok, so where will the $ be at this time next year?....' to which of course I reply '...I don't even know where it will be in the next 5mins...,' and as the enquirer walks off, I can see them thinking or even saying '...Huh - what kind of trader is he then?' Well, it's that or my Lynx Africa deodorant. (Other deodorants are available.) Anyways it's a good conversation stopper, before they bore the arse off me by telling me that they are '...very high up in the council...' or some such dullard profession, compared to ours!
