So, sbr won that little battle! As of current moment; 1hr is in a general downtrend, 4hr in a general downtrend too, but dly remains in a general uptrend but will be printing a L off the last HH (2732) after going below it's last and 6th consecutively HL @ 2603. Could be seeing a bullish expanding triangle develop on 2hr? (details of these in my files on my profile.)

...there is a historically not hi-probability repeating pattern of bullish hidden div on dly when measured from 2nd to last HL on that t/f. I prefer measuring bullish hidden div from osc valley to valley (ie below it's zero axis) which would mean it would be measured from 2069 swing lo - so not developed yet. But anyway with the potential 2hr exp tri and the current dly lo @ that prev dly sw hi zone = prev res = pot rbs (that began @ 2559) - it's worth a mention.

I managed to scalp enough for todays target but could of had a lot more if I was on the right side of things didn’t hit my sell limits and stayed in too long on some buys but overall it was good.

a bounce up would be nice before resuming some extra strong downward pressure

Pat, as a short-term intraday trader it doesn't matter much to me but yeh, it's a feasible scenario, but one amongst many. Only a representative historical sample (s) could tell us whether it's a hi-prob scenario or not, but the theory stacks up. As for MM's playing games that you decsribe, to trap retailers, well that's just an added bonus lol! If they are playing those games/have that plan they are trying to catch bigger fish than us, and why not!? 38.2% of the recent 2038-2732 'main up-move' is down @ 2467.

For someone to 'play' the news 24 hours in advance and with a couple of red flag news events in between seems a bit risky to me. I thought that big players 'didn't take' unplanned risks?

However, I believe that while market makers may sometimes engage in manipulative practices, it's an exaggeration to say they deserve to explode.

We have to focus on adapting to the market's dynamics and developing effective strategies to navigate its fluctuations.
Market makers are likely to continue utilizing whipsaw techniques to misdirect liquidity, necessitating our vigilance and adaptability.

Ultimately, we must accept the realities of the market and strive to operate within its framework
