Entering Trades.
On this example, I wait until market open has determined direction, I have an established support zone and a rejection of that zone.
There is enough information there for me to enter a buy position.

Stop loss and Targets.
As with all trades I am looking to reduce the stop loss as soon as possible as long as it does not increase the risk of the trade.
The SL is moved to break even on close of bullish candle shown on chart

In regards to targets I always set a RR of 2.3:1 as a minimum. I started out with a 2:1RR however after three months of trading this way I calculated that 0.3 of the trade was taken up in commission / spread by my broker on each trade. This was eating into both my losing trades and profitable trades ($2300.00 in 3 months)

Note: 2.3:1RR is a good return. I can get 5R and 6R on occasion however it pays not to be greedy.

AU this morning.
My bias is bullish however there is resistance above that may push market further down to 4hr support. Just my view on what has been shown from earlier posts.
Just a reminder this is not a signal service and nothing is for sale. Just trying to show an alternative way to look at and trade the market.

Clearly, this is a premature entry.

by “textbook” the shooting star candle pattern has yet completed there. **completed only on the next 3 candles. You were lucky that 3 candle completed changed the direction where I wouldn't be surprised AT ALL this price would continue go down after YOUR ENTRY.

And too by “textbook”, your 4h support level line wasn't marked correctly either where it should be marked on the tip of the most recently visited candlesticks. You marked it in the middles of the sticks, 162.85.

And 3 by “textbook”, the price action wasnt making higher highs although it was making lower lows, in other words, my friend, you were making entries against the 30 min trend.

Now what is a recipe of disaste? Brutal honesty, think I see one here.

On this other hand, you posted a perfect example on how to properly read and execute on an indicator triggered signal, bottom tested shooting start into a MA cross.

*Although I would still add just 1 or 2 more indicator to confirm this turnaround just because it was going against the main trend of the day on this 30 min chart.

But just for this example you posted ignore everything else that was happening on other timeframe, just on this chart, it was perfect timing, perfect location, perfect run and perfect closing on the 2R spot (textbook, but I think I would still hold it a bit longer). Money shot (I would call it), the type shots that would yelid me 10 times flips in less than 10 trades, all triggered by the shooting star and ma cross.

Am I not correct?

This is the time when I tell people trading is supposed be easy when the proper indicators are lining up and screaming at you to take them home.

oh noooo… sorry I mean to say it felt really good when I get a good and easy trade like that, Like a lion locks it's jaws on it's prey that is still alive and kicking the type feels good. Apology for my language. Sometimes trading gets me frustrated and excited at the same time and I just don't have a pool of pretty words to describe it.

Hi All, Just posting this last reply as I is relevant for those who were interested in how I trade.

1st trade where I mentioned I was looking for longs (Post24) was successful.

The market did trade down to 4hr Support as I also mentioned it might possibly do that.

This trade was also successful and 2.3RR was reached.
2 Trades 4% return as per my system that I offered for you to use as your own.
It is a shame I was under attack so early into helping others but I guess that is the way it goes here.

And Finally PMI-LowRisk your intelligence level ceases to amaze me. If you had read what I had posted you would not have needed to reply with a stupid answer and a teary laughter face. Maybe you should consider changing your username to PMI-LowIntellegence

At thread starter, better set as fast as it make sense the clowns to ignore. In real life you can be better suit a conversation, but this work not out in web aswell. Only chance to keep the good start running is ignore them and keep in touch with ones who want follow here with suitable questions. I look some pages from now and prepare some questions if not all answered at that time.
