As I have said before, it does not matter what I have decided that I like to use; you have to choose what you like to use.

Open an M15 chart.
Change your display from bars to line.
Add whatever indicator that you want to try--how about the SMMA like NAVK is using.
Now try various periods until you get a "smoothed view" of the price line that you think looks good.

Open an H1 chart.
Change your display from bars to line.
Add the indicator with the same period that you used on the M15.

On the M15 chart, add another instance of the indicator.
Set the period to 4X the period of the first indicator.
Confirm that this 2nd indicator tracks the indicator on the H1.

It is way easier to confirm the tracking if you install a global crosshair indicator.
It is also more convenient to use an indicator that changes color on direction change, and perhaps has arrows to mark it as well.

If you get the desired results, make as many instances on a chart as TFs that you want to "see", and set the period to the corresponding factor for the higher TF.
Even if it looks quite good initially, likely you will find over time that you notice consistent early or late tracking of the price line, so you will tweak the base period by 1 or 2 units. (Some people also tweak the period factor. But I don't do that because I want to see the exact higher TF, not some slightly smaller or slightly larger TF.)

It's always end with me coming back to the old and goid mister macd
The occ indi and the smafcci are repainting
Macd is the only honest indi beside the rsi and stochastic
Look how the 5m warned to stay away from the last trade

You have to treat the system like you are standing between 2 mountains. A call comes from one and you start that way. But then the ECHO bounces off the other mountain and you hear it as a call for the other direction.

So you have several options.
1. Ignore all of the calls.
2. Heed only the calls from one direction.
3. Heed calls from both directions.

I typically choose #2, but when things are rather slow, like today, choose #3.

I would say, have a profit target or loss target in mind every day.
