What I'm seeing is you are retroactively making a narrative to the latest high/low. Maybe you are right, maybe you are wrong. Took profit in gold good one for me closed Gu long on the pull back will sell on high of the day ...if we get a spike up. Can't work and trade to much activity for me.

Unfortunately 1.2196 area did not hold, small action long when It was breached 3 minutes ago, than break. ´So it was a trap above 1.2205. Now short term professionals are in minus. I don't think they will push it up one more time to 1.2210's area, too much selling volume there and too many long positions open between 1.2196 and 1.2210's. They have to unwind some long now. Chances of break 1.2210's now very low, may be in US-Session.

It's sad because so we get no clear picture, means roulette to sell / buy, means no position means no money earn

I specialized myself one short term (fights) between big money or retail traps etc. The problem what you describe is obvious: Most times on short term trading it is roulette to position yourself so you have to keep the fingers from trigger. But there levels where the action takes place in between. It has to do with money and positions management. They need lots of time to position themselves. The push through at the end into one direction works in (what I know) two different ways. One way is the weaker version: Push through comes on low volume, so you wait until volume is a bit thinner, test, test, test and break. This is not so much money making because other big boys can use that, too.

A bette one is to suck up a lot of volume in a certain area (today 1.2210-1.2190's (later 1.2196) and than break the structure with high volume. But that tactic big boys can only afford if they initial, avg position is big enough, else their avg. position gets too high on the break up and they can get into big trouble. Today the professional longs tried to push market through to get new liquidity to sell but big shorties rejected that. Now the short term professionals are in a mess. To unwind their position it takes time now and drop will go to 1.2170's area to clear positions out. That is the current status somehow. So no trade for me now. Short bias is there, yes, but I don't like the PA.

Maybe more indicators will fix that?
