It works in many situations and protects against losses. There are many hedging strategies, especially if you have bigger portfolio.

No, you do well, only saying you aren't.

1-2 pips profit with large lots entering key areas, that's is your edge, and I trust could be good with this. My only problem will be opening hundreds of trades, atm biggest quantity is 10/account, but again, I might need to lower the lots and do some sweeping work
