Gold and GBP/USD have positive correlation due to USD.
This has been the case for now, however it might chance in the future if inflation starts picking up and investors start investing in Gold and USD. Then, Pound will suffer.

Gold tends to be positively corelated with GU. Chinese buying of gold might be messing with this because of restrictions on what Chinese can buy.

So this means more down for GU? I am saying that because I have some shorts on GOLD atm.
I could be horribly wrong about gold shorts but if that's the case, I wonder how GU will handle.

Anyway, it should be interesting to see how it all pans out.

I think you're right about Gold and GBP/USD going lower. Gold "needs" to close that gap at 1865, so probably GBP/USD will drop also, but perhaps some retracement is in order first before another leg down. We'll see..
