pc told me once hes no expert. he pushed and pulled people intentionally so they could learn not for him make friends here. me thinks your problem is he wasnt nice to you so you think hes nasty. i asked him about his attitude once he said people are soft and have forgot that learning happens all the time not only in good times. good idea to reflect on it.

super basic but may help. yes offline too coz i know people many places so i ask them to look in local city in official phone books etc. all official places are registered and have offices so easy to check. yes read books and reference materials. best not use new online editions coz abridged info so not complete. read all i could and kept notes. read about earlier systems of exchange too. trading is absolutely not about money like i thought.

please do your own research

Peter wasn't anything to me. I do not think he is nasty and actually could see his point. My umbrage is in regards to his condescension. You cannot use language such as, "you people," and not inherently set yourself up as superior to those you are referencing. I cannot ascribe noble, altruistic intentions to his posts as there was never any humble instruction. This thread has a range of people of varying interests and intelligence. To assume that we are all senseless rubes because of our presence on this thread and thus, in need of PC's benevolence through "tough love" language is hubristic ignorance.

if after reading what i wrote about him you still believe he was what you describe then ok. the fact is he himself deliberately did it all and said it all to get you outta ya comfort zone and it worked. what you wrote is great example. im not him only saying that he talked about blindspots and your words seem a good one. interpretations are not reality. its just one opinion. i believe thats the point. you believe what you just wrote but ignore the real reasons for learning anything. i too had this problem. but he said to me people need to choose to learn and stop trying to control the learning or be addicted to any one way to learn. again im not him but i saw what he meant. not defending things he said or did. however now i see what he was saying. he was just peter not guru or teacher or saviour. like me arnold. im arnold never be peter but i can learn and improve. so can you. so if you decide to stop defending this place ff as i too stopped defending peter we can all learn. let the industry individuals here on ff keep playing their games and we learn. ff is not the centre of the universe.

edit add: bottom line i dont reckon he was being condescending as superior. i sense his goal was introducing details we have all missed from no research or believing everything but no backchecking. the harder thing to do is to find ways to help people who wont agree to help themself normally. i have seen and noted lots of individuals on here who play interference whenever anything non ff shows up but still trading related. gotta make ya wonder hah
