As I have said many times, the indicator is not as important as how it is used. Nearly any price-based indicator can have its parameters adjusted to "indicate" essentially the same thing as all of the others.

Look at the zone betwen the two yellow verticals. The price went into a very narrow range while TDI tended to track this with a narrow set of oscillations. However, stochastic went smoothly up, not even flattening.

Between the two white verticals, price makes a rather steady ascent, while TDI goes completely flat. It is the stochastic that nicely tracks the upward movement of price.

I marked one comparison at the white vertical. This is one bar after the pink arrow was drawn. This corresponds with the SSL crossing down. Notice that for the TDI and stochastic that rather than being at the green cross red, it is the red cross yellow, which is consistent with these settings. Of course, if desired, either the indicators in the top window could be adjusted to match with the other indicators' green cross red, or vice-versa.

TAKEAWAY: Don't get hung up on any particular indicator: Whichever one you have chosen can probably be adjusted to "indicate" what you want.

(Using multiple TFs also offers many advantages.)

Just as I envisaged, price finally starting to take off.
I had plans to enter if:
a) price closed above 1.24954 in M15, or
b) price go down and bounce off 1.24696 to upside for a better entry
*whichever come first, to not miss the Long opportunity.

Life isn't perfect, scenario a) came first, so I entered at a higher price, price reached about 50% of the SL but now I am surfacing and no longer underwater.
Pump it and send it, to moon.

You don't appear to be using the TDI to its fullest potential. You are ignoring that when the MA line is above 50 you are in an uptrend.
The TDI pro MT4 indicator that I use also tracks divergences.

I think you may have misunderstood, there is no bickering here; just two people talking about the beauty of learning; for some it is fun, for others it is a serious business.

If you're finding it hard to trade, you will not find the solution here. Better to try to develop and understand yourself and adopt a survival mentality:

- Objective thinking
- Methodical approach
- Flawless execution
- Rules based management
- And a philosophy of gaining consistent returns

This was not an exercise in exploring the features of TDI, so no, I did not ignore the 50 line, it is simply something that I chose not to mention in this specific case. Other people use the TDI red cross yellow for direction rather than the 50 line cross. I also did not include the envelope.

Also, I personally do not use the TDI, nor stochastics. But as you can see, I CAN use them if I choose to, and I have used them in the past with my multi-TF analysis to develop a successful system. I have also used non-repainting TMA, MACD, least squares regression, etc.

My main bais is a swing long from a retest of 1.246/1.245.

For coreg only. ( Not for any others, and i do not want to make an argument towards week end )
