With the CME FED rate watch suggesting 93% probability of no rate increase 'the market' isn't pricing in a rate increase right now something else is happening. I am not sure what other than the market is moving prices where it can. Watching the majors looking for an opportunity and nothing is making sense to me this AM.

% agree with you there.. there could be that BoE is looking to pause rates but in terms of movement BoE is around 3-6 months behind the Fed. Therefore potentially October/November for any rate rise pause there. UK looks more likely to go into a recession too which again could be the cause of stalemate in movements.

Looks like bullish momentum is dropping. Placed two sells around 1.2630, SL 12645, TP 12541. Its worth noting price retraced to a confluence of both the weekly and daily pivot, typically a very strong resistance/support.

China economy is what driving Dollar rn (Businesses) and GOLD (households) - Both parties want safe haven assets, as economic pessimism due to the housing market bubble which may drag the financial sector with it.

Given the government dont allow its population to have access to foreign other safe haven assets, apart from their house the only thing they have access to safe guard their wealth value is GOLD.

This is why both USDx and GOLD are together.

GOLD is on a corrective wave atm.

There's no trades, no instrument? You'd be first to scoff and laugh if someone else posted something like that up.

Birdland asked u a question on FTSE/GU correlation. In my earlier eager years I thought yup, this is just an inverse relationship. yes, Ftse goes up and pound goes down..but I found no use for it in intraday trading as they can both trend away quite a bit from what one would think to be the norm. Maybe you are talking bout how they correlate over a far greater time period..although some how I don't see how that would be useful to u as u are taking short term posts and posting the snapshots.

I would say the FTSE was created to give a snapshot of how the UK economy was performing (albeit limiting that to the 100 most capitalised businesses in UK), like most countries indices..of course DJIA is a price-weighted index that can be easier manipulated..(thinking back to the days of MMM driving it..high price but low overall percentage of index).

I can't say I understand most of your reply to Birdland, and I'm sure I'm not the only one here. As a lot of folk have said before....if it can't be explained in a short precise text, the meaning will be lost.
