Was a lousy week for me, just a couple of trades in USDCAD (well better than losses across the board).

But for the 4th week in a row, saved by the Friday... I'm considering trading Fridays only

depends on the strength (or lack thereof ) of the ism.

did today change anyones mind on where this pair is heading?

if so, why?

myself, id rather see a breach of 1.97 before considering going short(flat at the moment). at this pace, maby that(or anything else) will happen before im 34 years old(24 right now)

Dow Jones rocketed on the news. favors carry trades, thus favors GU long, or at least does not favor GU's going down heavily

overall the week has been good for traders. lots of activity compared to lack lust of previous few.

there was conflicting data, however, the NFP number, (best potential mover of all the releases released at 8:30 today) coupled with the NFP revision # , was not drastic enough to move the mkt beyond the constraints of S/R indicted in technical analysis. that is why it chopped in the range - 9765 - 9820 area. Now mkt has equalized athe central pivot point - 9783, while it awaits the ISM.

it was $ postive, but the numbers were not drastic enuff to have a lasting effect. RIGHT NOW - mkt waiting for ISM with decent support in the 9760-9770 range. so if ISM has a positive efect on G/U, look to see if mkt will be constrained by the prior range indicted by the NFP. bias favors long with 9760-9770.

news is news and wont effect the overall picture on where the cable is going.
news moves are mostly temporary and the cable will go along its path.

For those seeking pips, UJ at 122.00 area is a buy for the brave: risk 121.80 (pre-NFP), reward 122.20 or above.

Sticking with Cable is likely reward: not sure / risk: cardiovascular breakdown
