Yep, a pretty simple and pleasant day for the gbp. More people giving "thumbs up" so I know none of you are real people who actually trade beyond a chart. Funny isn't it. AND ironic.

I think people are funny.

Hello Guys,
Don't be Fooled by the Idea that Pound retracement is Over ot may Retrace More,
and i will be waiting to sell this time i am back in Pound Finally.
so i will be looking to sell, when i do i will let you know,
so far Pound cross pairs worked great for me,
but i think that's over now,
GBPJPY GBPAUD GBPND may retrace before another leg Down,
so i am out and going back to basics,
which is GBPUSD
here are some facts,

Germany reported the flash PMI at the lowest in three years, 44.7 from July's 48.5, when the forecast called for 48.3. This is the lowest in over three years. Services flailed and contracted for the first time in eight months, down 47.3 from 52.3. Manufacturing rose to 39.1 in August from 38.8 in July but it goes without saying this is still deeply negative. The composite eurozone PMI fell to a 33-month low in August, 47.0 from 48.6 in July. In the UK, the flash PMI fell to 47.9 in August from 50.8 in July, the lowest since Jan 2021 (Covid lockdown). It’s also the first drop below the boom/bust line this year. The S&P Global economist said the PMI points to Q3 GDP contracting by 0.2%. Not everyone agrees. Reuters reports UK inflation is slower to fall than elsewhere but it should still reach 4% (from 6.8% in July) in the coming months. The BoE itself sees that 4% in Q2 next year. The evidence lies in output prices down the most since Feb 2016.

Reading some things here re: stocks and bonds etc. I'd say once a person realizes and accepts the fact that Risk ON and Off are not what you've been told they are, then you will find yourself moving up in the layers of knowledge. One country's bonds are good while another is "bad" hehehehe. I think it's funny when tools on here wanna jump all over people like me when I say conventional wisdom and contrarian wisdom are really the same thing. Wooo do people get angry! For example, most of the threads on these sites are SOOOOO superfluous that once you get past say the first 200 pages, there really is no need to continue posting there. A good example of the "argument" around conventional and contrarian thinking toward "the thread" hehehehe. It's VERY funny.

yeah uuum, speaking from experience, I'd say you have some learning to do here. They're "factoids" not real facts. It's rhetoric.

HERE'S a fact, Germany has suffered a streamlined downturn since the 2000's as have most EU countries but one would need to be able to view reality and not figures to see this. Please do research that is Top down AND Bottom up.

Start there. Once you have actually researched it top to bottom and up, then relate it back to NEXT year not this year. Why? Next year's intent is more focused on the coming resolutions NOT the "problems".

Sorry but factoids don't impress people like me. It's called intellectual jamming. It doesn't tell the real story of scenarios.

It is interesting that the drop from yesterday's Frankfurt/London session was erased in the US session with US data that wasn't as bad as the European (Germany, France and UK) data. Pretty sure that a higher US$ will drive down the US stock market as well which won't go over well.
