Interesting question. I'm not sure I'd call it unravelling exactly. This is not the first time someone has tried to replace the dollar's reserve currency status. I think the number 1 thing to consider when looking at replacing the dollar, is to imagine the willingness of other nations to hold the replacement in their currency reserves. In most cases, the answer is no, at least not in the quantities necessary to become the reserve currency. In all cases up until now, the actual implementation was to dump the replacement currency as soon as a transaction was complete, and not hold it in reserve due to economic and political risk. It is likely that the BRICS plan will only fill a small portion of what the dollar accomplishes in global finances. Another thought to consider is that the R in BRICS is at war with Ukraine and much of the west, and the C in BRICS is heading into a very deep hole that may last decades. So, there are political and economic challenges to the BRICS plan. That doesn't mean they won't get their act together someday, but it's going to be a while before they are ready to replace or partially replace the dollar.

You are right Peter!

It's bigger than "inflation". I always said that. The general public is blind to most things. Just two months ago when I said that the EUR and many other assets would soon start to collapse, I was met with anger and disbelief. Instead of getting ready and positioning themselves certain people in here devoted all their energy and time trying to silence the messenger. Thank God, it was only a small handful of troublemakers.

With that being said, I would have hit the like button on your comments if you would just try to keep them as clean as possible. We don't need to attract any more negative attention than we already have in here.
