So yeah...not a good indicator either. If you talk to most hedge fund traders, they are dumb as rocks. You have no idea how that mix translates to the total market, how many IG clients are retail, institutional and so on and all that you know for certain is that for every sales contract you have a buy contract. Not sure what you can derive from the data. IG markets does say that they have observed that when their clients are short the market tends to go long.Ignored
