There is a discrepancy between the dollar index and dxy as well this morning in addition to anomalies in all of the US$ pairs.

IDK why, but bitcoin, gold, react better to DJ USDollar than DXY.

I stopped using DXY.

Because somehow i think we are using the strength of a basket of currencies to measure DXY and take the same DXY to measure the currencies in the basket.
I dont know if i explain this correctly

I don't find gold a good proxy for the US$ index or DXY, it reacts to independently!
Never looked bitcoin.

Gold yes, especially when the risk on risk off money flow in/out

As for Bitcoin, as i'm not a day trader, but position trader on spot my holding duration for at least 2-3 month, before i do something, i use Dollar index daily tf and 4hr when i need to enter or exit

Let's see that reaction at 1.301..
US GDP News should be more impactful to GBP/USD in my opinion, although this pair will definitely react to ECB news.

The way i see it

ECB rate : EU fall moderately, drag GU with it moderately.
USGDP: USD rise moderately - 2nd pressure on it - GU to 1.291

ECB press conference - Lift EU and lift GU with it - to 1.3020 Supply and take out Inducement
