I can tell you this instead:

Whenever you leave the position open during the High-Impact News you're at the mercy of entities driving this market.

What constantly happens during the news is blatant price manipulation and SL hunting.

Scary thing is, your orders won't get triggered in time if they are too close to the current price prior to the news. If you have for example Buy Stop order just above the price and price actually does go up, it will only activate some 20, 30 pips later due to gaps in price these news tend to create or won't activate at all. Same goes for SL.

I never suggest leaving the trade open during the news, especially Fed and interest rates announcement, NFP, CPI etc.. which are the most important news in FX these days (most impactful).

Some traders leave their positions open and sometimes they get it right, but this has nothing to do with trading, it's gambling and you have 50% chance of being right. Same is for trading, however on the news you are totally helpless and have no control what so ever and no time to act really.

Some news like interest rates announcements, CPI, employment data should be respected and one should stay out of the trade until these news are out.

This is advice, but you will do what you want to do and think is best! If you want to take a chance to profit more then so be it, if you don't then so be it.

Not too much movement from overnight maybe a ranging session until FOMC. Ideal world a move up towards the 12950-130 before and then a huge drop after. But never that easy and I can’t remember when that last happened. I have 12950 as first target but will close before that if we are ranging close to b/e at 12870

The FED is likely to maintain high interest rates for a longer period of time, and the market is divided on how long the Fed will keep interest rates high and whether it is necessary to raise interest rates again before the end of the year..

....there are prev 2 x 4hr minor sw hi's down to 2851, = prev res = pot rbs.....may see some demand emerge here if tested? Currently testing a prev minor 1hr sw lo zone = prev supp = pot supp. Under that a prev 1hr sw lo zone where asian/current dly lo is, this being 1st test of the highest of those 2 x 4hr prev sw hi zones, - that acted as rbs @ that current dly lo.

CME Fed rate watch tool has the rate going up . FF has it going up. My hunch is it stays unchanged with the same hawkish BS of how we are watching inflation closely. Next is how GU reacts or how it will trap the most retail traders?
Not sure which 'clues' to watch.

that’s the million dollar question… personally I’m thinking rates same view to go up if projected path worsens could take us over 130 before a drop however limited there as overall a hawkish Fed. Now on the flip any talks of rate reduction will send it over 131.
