I doubt it. The US already figured out it can't afford to go to war with China right at this time since they used up all of their munitions on Ukraine and they can't give guarantees to manufacturers that would allow them to ramp up production for short periods of time.

No, the Euro has decoupled from the pound with the pound resilient against the dollar. We can very much see this in the EurGbp down move. Having said, EurUsd, in also lagging behind GbpUsd so if I take EurUsd from technical perspective on its own I can very much see a possible retrace to 1.1000 before the next up cycle kicks in,

Look at last h4 engulfed bullish, strong suport 2810, that tells me one, price hit minimum 1.30 where we have 61 fibo last downswing, there we must take the decision, we are going more up for new high or slide for lower lows at 2750 and 262x hard to make predictions

You're suggesting that USD won't appreciate against Pound anymore because they don't have the tools for the war with China so will avoid one leading to more stable times or?

Okay, that sounds reasonable. However, the part with recession doesn't agree with that statement. We know that USD, JPY and CHF tend to do great in crisis. Especially in this one where you have inflation around or below 3% in all US, Switzerland and Japan and others around 5% or more.

I don't think anyone will prefer Pound over Dollar and we know from the past Pound is doing terribly, the worst currency to hold in crisis.

It's interesting to me that you're feeling this way. I have no indication that Fed will skip this time. Perhaps there will be no hike next time, but this one should be 1/1 in my opinion. I don't think Fed wants to play around with their policy, because they will destroy their credibility (or what is left from it) very quickly and then God knows what would happen to the markets.
