Posting Hindsight but purely for my educational purpose only
By theory, a FVG must be filled.
But there are times where the price comeback to FVG and Touch its outer range and reverse back.
As we can see, the FVG remain hanging there but price didn't filled her box
Usually, a trade to rebalance the FVG is often taken, or wait for the FVG to get filled and then trade in direction of structure.
Couple of time i saw this setup, where there is a clear external break of structure (denoted by BOS black line) with displacement (aggressive BOS), and when price reverse back to rebalance it failed, as fundamentals are strong.
Todays example it a good example,
Saw in on GOLD and UJ.
It will eventually come to rebalance, but just not at the moment.
Can someone with ICT experience please can confirmed this?

. Sliced through my weekly pivot like a knife through butter. Retraces towards 1.30000 and my weekly pivot can be see as sell opportunities. The door opens for 1.27658 ish.Cheers.

Bad news GBP CPI
BTW which part is bad ?.
This is how I interpret the CPI :
A rare piece of good news on the UK inflation front.
CPI for June eases by more than expected 8.7% y/y to 7.9% (8.2% expected).
Lowest inflation rate since Mar-22.
As a noob, I would like to know which part is bad ?.
Please share.
