Disliked{quote} Round numbers exist within many segments. I notice that people like to use "the round numbers" approach. This is funny because if you're like me, who has traded using both a 5 digit and 4 digit broker relay, a "round number" can be more than just 00 or 50 or straight 25's. JUST a thought. So while many here think GBPUSD isn't or hasn't "moved today", try looking at it as a market sees it. I think it's hilarious that people think ANY timeframe is noise. It shows how limited their understanding really is in real life. PeterIgnored
my understanding of round numbers is any number that is a whole number. Psychological numbers affect many human mindsets. I owe you $97.37 but I’ll just pay you either $97, $98, or $100 because I don’t wanna count the change. It’s just a simple concept that historically humans react to. In the markets, participants (if they are aware) would likely place orders near a round number because usually price is reacting around a round number. Price actions develop around significant levels and I feel like a large institutional body has way too much capital to worry about loose change. I think the round number is a fluid concept that can be applied to the markets. They are not a holy grail but to me they hold weight. It’s all about how the are utilized. I chose to be a lazy trader and take what the markets give. I don’t wanna be a subjective participant. I let the market give me the clues I don’t wanna make my own.
