yea I was trying to short to .2970 and saw how .2980 reacted. Then gave my shorts couple of hours time and PA before market close was bullish so closed at 0

Asian session open soon. .29950 or 1.300 might have a chance for .2970. Gotta see what PA tells.

Again I will say = Top down-bottom up. "News" get into people's heads but real issues are not plagued by "news". And so, as you can see, I don't subscribe to the plethora of "stuff" happening. When you watch an 'end of the world' type movie, there are two basic types of people - the ones who freak out, scream and shout and run around with their hands in the air then inevitably get killed. Then there's the other type, who step aside and survey the situation before shifting away from the "problem" until it can be solved. The Tom cruise film war of the worlds depicts people in this way very concisely. So leap frogging from crisis to crisis only makes things worse. If the general public will not step up and solve the problem then there are others who would be "happy" to import their own kind of "solution". Victims are made not born. Even if you are hunting something that mimics your actions perfectly, it's STILL not YOU. So you will always have the advantage. So big whoohaa for AI.

As per the final statement in drdaves reply, it gets closer to something. From my experience, IF you use the same trading software (what the hell is this "platform stuff"??) that details the same things over and over in the same way at the same time, you will always get it showing the same thing in all viewpoints. I have used many trading softwares and IF you have them present the same chart and view, they will then present it in the same way. Markets are NOT random because they are managed. MANAGED. Everybody here can read that correct?? Anyone here ever traded HongKong before? Probably not. Had upper and lower limits set by officials to keep it "stable". Soooooooo, now ........ go to your "monthly and weekly chart" of GBPUSD. Therefore a 1m chart is merely a dissection. I use the 1m everyday. Not for prediction but to observe certain actions.

For me anyone who "believes" it is random or predictable is not looking through the lens of risks but inherent profitability profiling. "Get in here, place stop loss there and set targets and cross my fingers and toes and kiss my ass for good luck." For something to "be random" it must also be possessing something "configured". That is how Life works. NOT human life only but real life. I have traded without a chart before and it is a very different experience to using modern charting software. And again, if you use a diversified "platform", then the view is even stranger for those who are always thinking in terms of "random vs predictable". There's far less "randomness" and the flow of data is able to show more clarity. Risk is also a factor in this idea of fractality and randomness etc. But that's a whole other species of subject.

Questions - Do you look at profitability potential before or after Risk base? You know how this reads, "what's this trade worth in pips as profit?" Or are you positing that news and stop hunts are the major things "that happen"? And added, do you work from the status quo "end of the stick" first before considering "abnormal" activity as risk or as profit?

I am publicly asking these questions because ignorant news trading is no different to any other kind of ignorant trading. How do you think "a market" stays afloat? It's not because of news or stop hunts. IF a "trader" views the spread within the 3 previous "trade setups" leading up to your "news event" then you can see how it will feasibly pan out. Do you see residual momentum? Are you seeing reductions or withdrawal from sister markets?

It's bad decision making when you do not see the lead up. Stop orders should be no where in sight. Before, during (MAYBE) and after your "news" is limit to market pricing time and zone only (IF a person actually trades).

If you are not aware of the money movement, then how would you know if the spread is going to widen? So if you don't then to me that constitutes gambling in its purest form. "Get, hold and hope".

Ever considered that MAYBE "where people's stops are" "in time", coincides with another market's strike zone and timing? Ever considered verifying the "stories traders tell each other" about why and how a market "moves"?

Yes I have a problem with the "usual mentality". It promotes using poor information and the insistence of an enduring "fair market activity" AKA market normailty AKA 'normal market conditions' despite so many moving parts inside it all being out of your control. That is not business that is just dumb gambling. A pig with lipstick is still a pig.

If people want to gamble there are faster ways to lose your money and still have a good time....... like your local whore house.

** Just as a note, demo accounts "allow" wide spread trading. Many brokers will freeze interactivity due to their own "rules of engagement". But if they don't then you need a workaround. Hints and tips are free. Learn or don't learn.

But it can be observed on any "time frame" of price movement. Buddy if I am on the 1min chart I am seeing it BEFORE YOU and understanding what is there.

Everything I use or have in front of me has a purpose. Markets don't exist and operate so people can talk shit on some website all day. Grow up or get out of the way.

With that being said, NZDUSD went up 1.93% today due to fundamental data release which you seemingly compared to nightly news on TV. Some pairs moved even more.

While your strategy may or may not be useful - if you are denying the power of fundamental data releases that would be pretty insane.

Prove to me that you have access to any interlaced markets so you can KNOW that it moved due to the "news".

If you have bothered to do your research, there are many "news" announcements and events for MANY things re: financial markets. I find it fascinating that you have a cow in front of you with stripes but you swear they're pokerdots producing the cow and not the cow wearing them.

Maybe spend less time chit chatting and more time studying money. Looking at "the news" listed, do you actually know and understand WHAT those things are? Not being a smart ass, it's a genuine query to ask yourself. You people think "the news ...oh gosh! oh gosh!" but the real world doesn't care about your little news "event/announcement". YES it does indeed care about what is BEHIND most of that but not "its release". Don't you get it yet? The rest of the REAL WORLD understands those things .... so wouldn't it be prudent for a person INVOLVED in something that is connected TO that to be ..... oh I don't know ... "prepared" to deal with each outcome available?! Please take your goggles off and really look around for once.

The "story" you've been told is for those who do not understand business or finance or money. You understand the use of drama and adrenalin so that is what is used in your perception and "trading".

Let's take this one idiotic statement at a time. No, you have not proven you can read a chart. Reading a chart involves analyzing the currency pair you are watching. You have not proven you can analyze the GBP/USD. Reading a chart also involves making a decision to make a trade or hold, and you have not done that here. You seem adept at recognizing candlestick patterns, but that isn't reading a chart. Peter, there is a difference between reading (recognizing and comprehending the meaning of words, sentences and paragraphs) and just seeing letters. You have proven you see letters (but you can't put it together into a trade decision). I really don't expect you to be able to trade, or read a chart, because you remain firmly committed to being a liar. Mr. 5%.

Peter, your disgust, along with your other personality disorders, are a result of your failure as a trader, and your inability to fit into the modern world. You demonstrate nothing but contempt for everyone on FF, as well as, anything that is modern. I must assume you feel deeply disconnected from the world, perhaps from your family. That's sad but it is not excuse for your behavior.

Re: being foolish. You are the foolish one if you expect people to believe you are a trader, and especially that you are a 5%/day trader. As I asked in an earlier post on another thread, find me one, just one, example of a person who could achieve 5%/day. You will not find an example, and you are not the first person in human history to perform at that level.

Price action is not behavioral bias repetition. It is foolish and honestly stupid to say that.

Your backwards hindsight is not a way to read a chart if you are planning on making a trade. Candlestick patterns are not helpful in the way your described. In fact, your description of my 10M chart tells me that you unable to understand what is happening in the market (you see, Peter, the charts are telling a story that is best read going from left to right, not the other way around, since the trade is going to the right). I know this is all new to you, given your unfamiliarity with the forex (or equities, bonds, commodities).

It is funny that you would comment on how I plan my day, since you have failed to provide one comment or one chart with your plan or ideas, let alone your contingencies. Just funny.

You have no idea what the forex is, let alone what is happening. Your view of the forex is the noise on your 1M chart which means nothing because you do not understand the market (at least, you have never talked in anyway about the forex, just how you despise everyone trading the forex here on FF).

And finally Peter, I did not click the link to your "how I handle a loss" visual. I assume you have developed a great deal of experience with that topic.

Peter, if you are a real world person (whatever that is), you would show everyone here your analysis of the GBP/USD for tomorrow, a chart of your analysis and a description of what you're looking for in a trade. Then, explain in detail how that trade will contribute to your 5% tomorrow.
