It's crazy from my perspective because I struggle to hold my positions for the entire day, often only catching half a move. Its a complete mindset shift and something that I'm continually working on. Last week I held a bunch of positions from Monday to Thursday and didn't really gain much from it, then the market starts to heavily trend and I'm back to my only holding trades for a few hours mindset. It's frustrating that every time I try this swing approach, the market ranges. Every time I go back to my intraday approach the market trends heavily in a single direction.

Currently doing FTMO so will stick to intraday for this, if I get funded, my next account will be a swing account. That will allow me to separate the trades and I will be able to use the swing account as more of a "set and forget" account.

Perhaps consider a consolidation zone as an area where both buyers and sellers think they are getting a good deal. And as long as both continue to believe there is a good deal to be had, there will be bids and offers presented. I created a forum called No Nonsense Trading (Only Live) if someone's interested. This forum is for those traders who are trading with real money and for that particular group of traders that are looking for that one forum that is serious to the core about trading and nothing else. Trades and other people's strategy being put to the test is all you will see on this forum, because every trade taken will be closely monitored so no manipulation is possible. Not to optimistic on how many people will actually join this forum, but we'll see. If anyone's interested of course.

I personally like this forum, because it has a great vibe to it (Cable Update), so I always pay a visit here and share my thoughts. However, fun stuff and random talks aren't allowed on No Nonsense Trading, because on NNT we are getting to the core of how people trade with real money (not that here people aren't trading with real money, but there's a ton of posts not related to trading and a ton of forecasts which I myself am quilty of on this forum and are not allowed on NNT) and jokes and random talks tend to drag away the main point of why we're here in the first place. To put our system to the test, share the strategy with other people to get feedback and to help others do the same.
