I understand how people get off topic. I am guilty of getting side tracked by news stories that aren't necessarily related to GU that get presented and discussed here.

What I don't get it why people believe that it's okay to attack others personally. That has nothing to do with trading.

If you have 'proof' and want to caution other traders about cheats, charlatans and con artists that is something that should be permitted.

The rest of it should be deleted! IMHO!

Ah i think it's cause of the lack of socialization, and words can be enlarged out of context online.

Like for example when i grew up, we called each other all kinds of stupid things and then were friends a few hour later or the day after.
Same at work.

For me like you i don't take things to seriously, i see it as a positive thing to get some steam out and make the thread more fun.
The trouble maybe being, that you can't talk through what others think etc.

We live in that day and age where we are a bit to sheltered to "catch a drift" but imagine if we were floor traders or old traders at a bucket shop. There would be all kinds of remarks/opinions and harsh language. Money has a really powerful effect on people, which i think few are immune to.
Let's blame technology and society we are human after all.

To add to that, the last thing I want to see on an international online platform is someone getting jealous of another's profits/skill. Total Bullshit!

The fact that you and your buddies could swap insults with one another doesn't make this kind of behavior socially acceptable.
Global cultural differences on the internet make it more unacceptable.
There are plenty of ways that you can swap banter with people (acquaintances) without getting rude or insulting.
I stick to my original proposition, ban derogatory insults.

Just simple misunderstandings and cultural differences, nothing more.

While we throw the blame on technological advancements reaping us from socialization. AI/chatGP is here now, it gets even worse for our kids and the next generation ahead. Let's enjoy the lime light while we still can.

Lets not be too hard on WaveG if he needs to let off a bit of steam by calling me names and if it helps him so be it, water off a ducks back to me, been called worst..., if it doesn't bother me then it shouldn't bother anyone else, he usually gets bored and then leaves me alone ...
