I expect Gu to rally back above 1.2750 in 3 days failure of close above 1.2750 will target price back to preceding Level 1.25

Please, can anyone help me understand the reason for the strength of the dollar despite the negative news about it? And despite the fact that the trend was upward last Friday, why didn't the pound rise today?

Forex prices move to where there are buyers and sellers with equal prices. Eventually the 'news' will impact where buyers and sellers place their orders but it doesn't always happen in a price timely manner.

To add to this, it also could have already impacted price prior to release. Sometimes more so then it "should" have hence why price may do the opposite of what the news makes you believe should happen.

There is a weekly rejection.
Allow the trendline and resistance levels, in 4H timeframe, to clear,
Then, its going to be a long ride up.
