OK , Back to Pivots and it is not looking good , but they have to take my stoploss : 1.26656 ( which is tough support at this point ).

Back to my desk and poor US data help spike up before settling below 127

was it a bull trap I’m not sure, however there is an opportunity for the bears to take over and push below 12650.

let’s see how it pans out. 12750 still on the cards for this week I think especially if 12600 holds out

The 'news' actually indicates the economy is not overheating, prices are falling and there is no need for an immediate rate increase. All of these suggest a weaker US economy. Against this backdrop the dollar goes up!
Price goes where it wants!


[Edit] I wonder if this is just because of the lower US activity?

that’s what I think.. low US volume, GU should have gone up. However Friday the US confidence data was good and GU went up. All MM I suppose

Market perception of data is not always straight forward, this particular US data, ISM service&manufacturing are used to guage growth, the headline number is really bad, but it seems market is interpreting for bad economy or recession, and you will see this will drive safe heavens like gold, us dollar, swiss franc and possibly yen up
