I like to believe that DXY has found support in the green zone marked. When you look at market structure on the 4hr, it's a clear bullish movement probably 100pis at stake. Cable should therefore see sellers knock for the coming week.

I looked up DXY for 15 years back and usually not so much movement around 4th of July. Also the stocks gained some momentum.
If you look at the 4hour chart you can see an bearish golfing candle for DXY.
Do you have any particular levels in mind? news? or fundamentals that came out on the weekend?

well, it's at the bottom of the trend channel, it's at the support level, the north direction is likely..
this suggests that gbp/usd is down.

To begin with I'm a technical trader but I also follow up on news releases. DXY broke a critical area of interest towards the end of last week... 103.150 to be specific. At the same time, cable bulls failed to break the 1.27590 area which is now the last line of defence for cable bears. I also use pair colleration to determine entry levels as well as the best pair to trade. In this case I have open positions on EurUsd. Check attached chart. Green box marks a KEY area of interest. Note that the pair is making lower highs and lower lows.

Absolutely! You can also observe how price around 102.800 was rejected on 4hr at the end of the week.

New week new challenges, let’s see how it goes. I’m still on loss recovery mode, so bias looking short initially. 4H not showing a huge drop, 12520-80. I need to know when I can take the least level of a hit.. my b/e is 125

we have 2 days with nowt from the US so it could be quite low volumes. Not checking data yet will do later

The numbers and days don't check out for me. Which indexes/sources are you using?
I saw the level on GU 1,2759 on the tuesday, but not the corresponding number of DXY. Do you mean 103,5 on friday?

Key area of interest on DXY is shown with the arrows. As you can see, bulls made new higher highs.

GBPUSD price action on the H4 time frame is ranging above the 61.8 fib retracement area (blue) of the dominant bearish swing on the weekly time frame. There was a bullish drive in the early part of last Friday, but the last H4-session on Friday was bearish. We may see northward liquidity engineering before a southward turnaround.

I may be wrong. Trade safe and prosper.
