You must have an odd definition for a down trend if you believe that GBPUSD H4 was in a down trend. It was definitely in a down swing, but for me, it never progressed to a down trend.

Not defending him, but for clarity, I THINK he is referring to the DXY itself. Not the GU it is affecting.

2781 was a good resistance before 2834 /65 , short test taking, will wait for signal breaks and hold 2764. Probable target goes below 2723, if all ok, sl over previous as not engage against bull!
Checking usdx, just free falling to 100.37 next sr, may not bounce at all for show before continue fall. So as per weekly monthly we can go for 2865 +to 3120 directly! May need some support to add long then!

BoE will now be following the free market.
Inflation's not mathematically possible/probable to go to target within 1Y.
Last month the CPI went UP 1.2% when the yearly target is 2%. We have 13 CPI reads over 8.7%.
We need to see negative reads next to get to target.
It makes no difference what the BoE do when they're that wrong. The free market prices the rates, and they read the inflation data themselves.
The fact that the Gov 2Y yield is spiking on its own doesn't have anything to do with what they think BoE will do next. They must raise rates next week.
Also, the Gov does NOT control rates if you think there's an election soon; Its Gov risk-free IR costs which are spiking right now & this sets all borrowing costs higher. The Gov costs are rising after dumb policies, just like everyone else.
Our government gifted energy companies huge profits on behalf of our children when all they had to do was separate energy pricing by source.

Cable broke a significant level and in a bull trend.
It doesn't matter what fundamentals says, I am only buying as long as session lows are held.

Mentioned that yesterday already. Stats today were fine in the beginning. After London Close messed up. Typical Holiday Move currently, I expect on low Volume. Does anybody have numbers on Volume/Approximation of different Brokers compared to April/May? Would be interesting.
Expect small retrace in Asia / late Asia Session.

Also moves look at least a bit the same. It makes sense. If you have firepower for let's say 70 pips in combination (on holiday days at least) moves will end something around it, retrace, zig zag and if you sold enough, next jump incoming. Of course you can play that game also into short direction which we have seen also.

As I said, currently heaven for trend traders. You can earn a hell of money with pyramiding currently. Some make there yearly income these days. I try to keep over water, currently managing fine, today even on plus side but I also couldn't trade so much, may be that was my luck today.

Anyway, here from yesterday, cheers.

Ok, no rate rise this time, we should not expect every month, investors disappointed, stocks continue to rise.
DX lower, fine, long overdue.
