Daily range for GBP/USD for the period from April 2006 to April 2007 is 132 pips

Thanks God, today I can say that I made a killer, I short GBP/USD @ 1.9777 (Today's high) and closed @ 1.9700 (today's low) but today's low was 1.9699, so it is almost a killer

Looks like gbp/usd would trade lower next week according to SSI from dailyFX.

By the way, Cesarnc, are you a full time trader? just wondering and curious.

But what is the rationale for that? We are indeed in a downtrend but the upwards move today was a strong one.

I dunno exactly what difference you're talking about. Im referring to the high/low range for the day, which as an average for the last 100 days has been 120 pips (monday to friday, sunday excluded).

Truthfully I was referring to the overall market, jpy saw some significant moves, cad broke a long time resistance level and a few others made some decent moves. But yes GBP/USD could've done better.

Sure, here is indicator. It shows the currents day range (high to low) and the average daily range for the last 100 days. If you want to modify that 100 day figure, you gotta swim into the code and change the number there.

It helps me identifying whether a currency pair has put in most of its average move for the day and therefore prevents me from entering a market that might have little gas left (as an average).

I won't muck with the code - I'll never get it to work again! 100 days is a good number for me. Thanks mate, much appreciated.

Dollar looks like it has run out of steam, but since there is only minor data for the UK coming out in the morning then I wouldn't imagine a large move up for sterling in the next day. Anybody seeing a possible move down in the short term?
I miss cloggie.
