Anything above 200k is good for the economy and suggests that the FED doesn't have to cut rates anytime soon which leaves the US with one of the highest bank rates. Recent drop in the dollar index was due to uncertainty about the debt extension and since that is in the bag the dollar should strengthen, all things being equal (which they aren't!)
