Fitch announced they may cut the U.S. credit rating due to the debt standoff in congress. Here's what happened to GBP/USD after S&P cut the U.S.'s credit rating in 2011:

As you can see, the reaction was very ambiguous. Here's a table of returns for major currencies over the following month, shorting USD/JPY was really the optimal trade.

Well i caught about 50 pips of the move, but it feels like i was lucky with the Nvidia news.
or maybe the media are just trying to explain every move with earnings. Dont know if my analysis yesterday was correct, but i will try it again.

Please which exact date did the credit rating cut happen in 2011...?
Closed all trades about 10 minutes ago, before end of NY session, rather than have swap fees added on top of negative trades.
End of day, net loss of 82 pips. But, clean slate, now I get to start fresh.

Buy order line/elipse is where your buy hold or adding buy if price keep going down?

There's almost nothing I like about the Asian session.
Yet I can't fold my arms and not trade its frustrations.
The only and best thing I fancy about the Asian session is, for folks like me who trade without SL most times, there's not a high probability that there will be sudden moves that can blow up an account. Other than this reason, I have absolutely no liking for this bore of a trading session.
Made a long position that hold for few days if missed (Minus Position). Tired of this two week non stop trade, althought profit was good in this two weeks but drawdown was also HUGE. One wrong postition and lot could ended as MC. I'l try minimze this today

If you follow Pat Chiko, you should see 20+ pips fairly quickly but then he believes a big drop off.
A few others appear to favor a drop as well in the near term.

I follow him not for position yet, but just for analysis how and when. I made my own.who know when he stop posting . We dont know how much he can handle for every position.
PAT already close his sell, if the drop come my buy limit was at his previous sell TP. Even if that buy limit triggered i still can hold about 300 pips floating till MC.
If today was dropping, i think i could hold for next whole week and may recalculate TP to higher poin above 1.24 or even 1.25. If today was UP, TP may hit and closed all PO.
The first position risk reward is still huge about 2:1. Even so my margin can still tank a lot down underwater even MCed i only risk this month profit
