This is how the same chart looks in colour. The first half of each trading day is painted in yellow and the second in cyan. Much easier to control visually intraday market actions.

I am interested in swing trading. I have a full time job that's why I can't watch the market. During European session I am sleeping and during US session I am in the office.

Does your book help in swing trading? Can I expect to earn 200 pips a month if I follow all your rules with discipline?

Could you please also tell me if it is possible to take advantage of intra day trading during Asian session?

What would you advise me to achieve a goal of 200 pips a month without a big continuous draw down?

I appreciate your advice.

I want to thank you personally for helping us newbies out with your experience and great knowledge about the forex market! It's always good to see that people actually take time to help others, especially in these hard to win fields like forex trading! There were a few times in my short trading career when I said to myself: "okay this is not for me, let's look ffor something else", but there was always someone I could look to and motivate myself!

I hope your career (edit: as a forex teacher here on forexfactory) will be a long one, and please don't hesitate to ask us if YOU need anything, I think everyone agrees here that we'll do our best to help you out if we can.

I know u're a hedge fund mgr. Have u ever managed a 9 figures fund ?

How big is yr trading team ? I meant how many people are there ?

Yes, I have. Trading team was five people including myself.

There is a bank trader EricFX who said.. u don't trade the same way with a 50K account and a billion dollar account. In the bank, they don't take position all for profit only. So what is yr view ?

Based on my own estimate, the method I trade is scalable up to about $300 mio. under management if to trade only majors and with no damage for liquidity. Then it would require wider diversification between more currency pairs.

From that team I have only one assistant left. Others have quit by now for different reasons. I have picked this guy ten years ago and trained him individually. He shares the philosophy and understands my concept fully. Obviously he is a fully grown trader at this moment and can work independently with any capital size.

Also that is a previous resistance level. Selling would be a high-probability trade IMO. It's a shame that I don't trade EUR/JPY

In case you're talking about 1998 high, it was at 162.50.

Yes I was referring to that.
Igrok, when do you consider a resistance line broken? For example this could be marked as a clear brake of the '98 high? Which would ultimately mean that the uptrend hasn't reached its end yet.
I always have problems measuring broken support and resistance lines.

That high of 1998 just doesn't have any technical significance. Horizontal lines rarely work as supports or resistances. I never trade from them.

I'm surprised to read this. Many of your templates are based on range breakout. Doesn't the existence of a range imply that until some moment horizontal lines served as S/R?
