DislikedLast days have been emotionally heavy because the market is in "waiting mode", due to the major news reports coming in these days (FOMC, NFP, ECB interest rate decision, US unemployment rate, etc.). So patience and managing FOMO have been fundamental in these days. I attach the chart of this afternoon, had to be patience but at the end I found a great Pullback Reversal.Ignored
DislikedThere is my trade this morning. Patience is key and i do like you gc-finance this morning i was selective {image}Ignored
Disliked{quote} These are some nice looking charts you guys have posted. GC-Finance i marked some things on one of your charts. May you feel free to share your opinion. I also traded Gold yesterday. Nearly over leveraged my account due to a position sizing error (damn . and ,). Got into a nice PB but saw the resistance too late. Afterwards the trade would have been a full win, but you never know what kind of crazy stuff will happen on a major resistance/support thats why i closed it early. {image} {image}Ignored
Disliked{quote} Nice! Yes be careful with the different pips/points values for other instruments. As for my chart, thank you for commenting! The first comment, yes I think it was a SHS variant but I couldn't find the proper spot to enter. Second one, yes the setup was nice but the market was bearish earlier on and the news report put other pressure on the bear side, so I was a little intimidated to go long (maybe more psychologically than else). For your trade, I think you did well. It's so easy to judge in hindsight and say you could have stayed in. You...Ignored
DislikedThanks for the support guys! I have experienced different emotional issues in my trading journey, those mentioned by PA-Wizard and others. I have definitely improved many of them but still struggle for some. The problem I mentioned was about not engaging in another trade after a loss. So yes I know those the setups after my losses were valid and I marked them, but I couldn't enter because I was too emotional, maybe we can call it fear of losing again, I don't know exactly. So my question was if you also are reluctant to engage in another trade after...Ignored
DislikedGood morning PA WIZARD ! I hope you doing great Really nice advice from you on your last post. On your side, did you track all of your trades ? Like what was the setup, how did you feel when you enter the trade and how you manage it ? I want some informations about your way of proceeding its really interesting to see how other doing. Can I ask you guys for how long did you trade? About your question, on my side I trade with 70ticks charts and i enter in the trade immediately after the breakout I dont wait the close of the candle. On the other...Ignored
DislikedHello guys, thanks for the support! A lot of things to answer! - The lot size isn't really an issue for me. I had (and still have a little) the same problem when trading with a micro lot or even on the demo account. - I've been (manually) trading for about one year, including the demo trading in the first months. Before, I had experience with EAs plus some knowledge from my studies and some casual trading attempts about 10 years ago. - In this period, when possible, I trade 3 hours in the morning and 3 hours in the afternoon, more or less. Of course...Ignored
Disliked{quote} Seems like you know all the valuable stuff, to implement them can be difficult. A book that helped me was "the secrets to emotional free Trading" from Larry Levin. Not all of it is valuable but i found the manifesting part of it very good. I think there is a PDF of it in the www , im not sure If im alowed to post it here . If you search it you will find it. You are right ,maybe it was a little bit premature but im always cautioned by bars with huge wigs. Especialy in resistant oder support zones. When there is no sign of continuation,...Ignored
Disliked{quote}Anyway, if I remember well Volman recommends this technique in both of his books (not to wait for the bar to close). I also understand that in a higher timeframe the situation is slightly different so I cannot guarantee you that in your case it's the best option.Ignored
DislikedHey guys ! Nice to see you even on days off! Hope you guys doing good ! Thanks alot to both of you for your sharing really appreciate and nice to see your journey. I find the book too PA WIZARD so thanks for the suggesion i will read it on the next few days On my side about entering before the candle close doenst really matter and I enter always when the signal bar get broke. Most of the time the price broke and couple bar after recame test the barrier before really take his direction. And I confirm that Bob Volman on his first book reccomends...Ignored
