This one i agree with you, cause the Algo on a rate day, CPI data, NFP, those algo decode the statement faster and react faster, and all react in the same way is usually the reason we get the extended price moment. -
But when it is a normal day, each companies' algo, ig will trade against each other, and each one of them must comes out with a pure trading profit and net profit after covering operating cost over a number of trades/ period.

But do you really think that those wall street guys will go all in for algos for their trading activities, or they still hire traders?

I saw the 1.2500 area tough. Some areas become inpenetrables at specific moments. As i beleive gbpjpy will top around 173.00 making a new high, cable´s run up may happen but not sure if 1.2512 will hold next atempt although swing may have turned south.

Won´t dare going long though, just in case. just look at euraud drop this morning. Similar pattern as GU from my archives

Went long gold yesterday morning and Algo´s shorts exploded in their hands. It normally happens when you execute Jake mate to Algo but did not think it would bring it back down so i was forced to BE. Is has spent several hours closing shorts and for those who have been trading for some time, notice what a anti natural chart it turned into.

Thanks 4 the info, I am looking at Oanda and My Forex Funds Data. FxPro UK does not have any gaps...
