Broker data shows that beginner to intermediate traders tend to do much better on ranging days and especially expanding triangles because no matter how bad the trade they get saved by the whipsaws. (As long as the triangle is <100 pips, so relatively small.) Trend days are absolute blood bath for them. Or vice versa.
You'll know that you have reached pro level when yesterday and today are pretty much the same for you.

Unless we clear todays high today we could see another drop. Hurdle is 12430 followed by 12450 then todays high

Have you traded yesterday? How was it for you? For me it was very uncomfortable. I'm more counter trend trader, top-bottom trader.

Worst days for me are straight through days for >100 pips.

LOL, so I'm still beginner trader . Noo... I know when to keep away but I search for chances and some days, like yesterday, were really boring. I like when US-Boys come in on days like yesterday. So volatility goes up, I need that for my trading.
