I just shake my head at the US dollar bulls. they keep saying for the last 6 months that the US dollar will go up but keep getting it wrong wrong wrong. The US dollar fundamentals are terrible - countries with the lowest inflation will lower interest rates first? Now does the US have higher inflation than Europe or the UK??? US inflation is much lower - the UK still has inflation near 10% so zero chance of lowering there while US is close to 5% - basic maths. common sense says inflation will hit 2% quicker when it is at 5% for the US compared to near 10% for the UK - for the UK to get to 2% will take a long time. the US led on the inflation going up last year and is now leading with inflation going down - Europe and the UK peaked with inflation a lot later - somehow US dollar bulls are a bit slow to get this
There will be pullbacks along the way but the US dollar is going lower for a while yet - if anybody doubts me i suggest having a look at the US dollar monthly chart - the bullish bar from 2 months is about to be engulfed by a bearish bar

Here is the charts of the euro and GBP weekly charts in a channel - lots of space to get to the top

I haven't even included all of the bad news ahead for the Us dollar - the debt ceiling is due very soon last months deficit was way bigger at 378 billion and the US government keeps spending nonstop with a 2 trillion deficit last year. and the bank blow-ups in the US have slowed bank lending in the last few weeks along with growth likely to be very little for the year - not much going for the US dollar. Europe and the UK economies will stay stronger than most expect. China is where the growth is gojng to come from - the US economy is going to be slow for a while. I see the US dollar going down for the next 5 years - it is way overvalued. The euro and the GBP hitting parity last year is the bell ringing for the bottom - bad news is always at the bottom

First you have Covid19, then you have the US/Ukraine with Russia all sucking resources out of the economy. Now you have the US talking about war with China, another huge economic drain! What does anyone expect?

The only thing a person can do in the scenario of them printing money is to learn to be a good forex trader to take advantage of the volatility. I don't think inflation is going to stop for a while. I own a restaurant here in Hamilton and I can tell you first hand that we feel it. December 2019 we were paying $45.00 for a box of lettuce. December 2022 we were paying $105 for that same box of lettuce. Most restaurants and businesses are going to get smoked in the coming years. If I didn't have my construction business and my forex trading, I'd be gone out of business by now. Mind you we're rated 4.7 stars and we're a busy restaurant. I can only imagine what the other businesses are going through.
