Powell just stated that inflation is running higher than at the last FED meeting and it had no impact on GU!

Edit It gets better, rate increases will be higher than we had previously indicated.

It's all gamed. Watch the markets will start pricing 75bps rate hike instead of the 25 or 50bps (the current outlook) and ehen Powell does a 50bps they fly price back up for some more ranging. Don't you just love the market? Hahaha

You correct. Confidence is the main virtue. I also think some patience is involved. I actually can be very confident with some trades but I need the money quick.

I wouldn't spend a minute longer listening to politicians quizzing Powell, later today, and tomorrow. Most questions are rather irrelavant to monetary policy anyway, since most questions are rather politicking, and depart from actual, useful, and crucial monetary matters. They can talk crypto, cost of living, gas prices .... blah blah blah... I would care less.

Now, summary from Powell's speech. It was moderately hawkish. Several points to note:

1. Core PCE. Note that Powell doesn't mention CPI or headline. Fed wants to see core comes down. Now, at 4.7%. So, if it remains sticky, then more hikes. Clue: inflation is still well above our longer run objective of 2%.

2. Persistency. His words: we'll stay the course until job is done, history cautioned against prematurely loosening policy.

On Cable. I'm still short on this pair. I might look to close out some trades, going into UK spring statement, next Wed, 15 Mar.

At the same time, I've been persistently adding more shorts on my USDJPY pair. I'm looking for a bounce on yen, moving into Friday's BOJ policy decision.

On Cable shorts, 33 trades, floating P/L at +3.4k. On JPY longs, including GBPJPY, EURJPY and USDJPY, 39 trades, active P/L at -$2.4k.

I've been reading your post discussing about me like non stop.

Here's for you to understand who am I really.....

I think it's important to note that people have different motivations and priorities in life.
Just because someone is making 10K ( i made more than that) doesn't necessarily mean they don't want to engage in activities that may not be directly related to their work or financial status, such as participating in online discussions or listening to others' perspectives.

Some people may find greater satisfaction in engaging in meaningful conversations or pursuing their interests, regardless of their income level.
In addition to my earlier point, I must acknowledge that I faced numerous struggles before achieving my current level of trading proficiency.
Fortunately, with the aid of others in the FF community, I was able to refine my skills and now trade flawlessly.
Unfortunately, some of those individuals who helped me along the way have since departed and I am unable to repay them directly.

However, I feel a responsibility to repay their kindness through sharing my knowledge and providing real-time trade calls - but only those that I have strong conviction and a solid setup for - so that others can learn and profit from them as well.

My parents instilled in me the value of helping others to the best of my ability by teaching them how to fish instead of simply giving them fish.
That's why all of my trades are made in real-time, as a way to encourage others and demonstrate that success in trading is achievable.
If I understand correctly, you would not assist those who are less fortunate once you become wealthy?
If so, I would like to clarify that I believe in giving back to society and helping those in need, regardless of my personal financial situation.
Helping others should not be limited to one's financial means, but rather it is a fundamental moral responsibility that we all share as members of a community. I'm sure there is poor peole in your community.

Lastly, it's important to avoid making assumptions or generalizations about individuals based solely on their income level.
Everyone has their own unique circumstances and life experiences that shape their priorities and choices.
