I don't understand how people believe that 2-factor authentication with cell phones is secure. All someone does is steal your phone, swap the sim card into another phone and they have your 2-factor authentication beat!

There are a lot of security systems that make sense. Relying on a cell phone for security is the one that I believe is totally useless. The thief doesn't have to cut off your hand or pluck out your eyeball to access the phone services like in the movies. Just pull the sim card. There are all kinds of tools for accessing the data on the phone. Apple phones are a little harder but if someone is determined they are going to find a way! The best security is when no one knows how you access your secured items and there are multiple options for securing the item.

Combining Upper and lower Case of letters, numbers and Symbols in password do really make the combination really hard to crack.
Necessary to secure item this way, too many scams nowadays
