Market makers also decide how to move prices and can trade between themselves to move prices ostensibly to make smooth and fair price transitions. Unfortunately, no one audits the system's integrity so we have no idea how it operates. In moves like today where I assume what is happening is that investors are betting against the USD because of the news about oil and gas inventories. The MM's appear to be driving the price of the USD up in an effort to remove as much liquidity from the market as possible. It has nothing to do with filling contracts between customers (non MM) but everything to do with extracting liquidity from the market. Check the volume numbers on the USDX and see how low it is relative to the scope of the price move.

I must say that Wavegarrick is not only good trader with sound analyses, but he also reply with what he has learned without any hesitation...openly. I follow his charts...rather I change my bias to match Wavegarrick because I have found his analyses perfect.
I don't know why the people behave so mean and cheap...

Speculators reaction and timing, you always find NY session the busiest among other session. It's safer to look at the bigger picture when working with fundamental data.
