That's why it's confusing sometimes because different TF might show different signals until it's confirmed.
I tend to have mixed signals if I analyze all TF thus I only stick to M15 for general direction then M1 + M5 for scalp entries.

You can use any combinations of timeframes, it is all about trends and corrections , major trend and major corrections ie

if H1 is in a major correction and H4 is in a major trend then direction is down or if H15 is in a major correction and H1 is in a major downtrend then direction is down.


If you look at H1 GBPUSD we had a major correction but H4 is not yet in a major down trend, i am assuming the Current H1 move down is the third swing, i could get stopped out , so it is better to see a trend on the HTF and then follow it.

I am habitually watching H4 and GU is still in a downtrend. Will the trend continue or is it reversing? I don't know. Will only prioritize to follow the trend structure and make short orders.
Just follow the trend.
