Pairs do not necessarily have to correlate because they are, let's say, "dollar" except in the area of natural law. If there is someone who thinks that pushing against in these areas will favour, he should do so in all "dollar" pairs. There is no one on the planet powerful enough for it. He is wrong and there I will be, embracing my friend "natural law"

Of course, every USD pair has to be taken in context of both of its currencies. But IN GENRAL, because USD is THE most traded currency, it tends to have the greatest effect on a pair. It is only when a pair falls out of the expected correlation according to the USD that you see the other currecny having a greater impact on the pair than the USD has, AT THAT MOMENT. This effect is typically short lived simply because the other currency is not traded much in comparison to the USD, and this anomaly ends and that currency goes back to "normal" behavior.
